Day 2 - Jimmy's Music Collection

It was a busy one today, but I got some albums in. This morning I was in a ZONE with coding and jamming.

Here is the list for today - Enjoy

September 13, 2022

Genesis - Invisible Touch

First up today is one of my favorite albums of all time. I love Genesis and Phil Collins. I wish I would have been able to see this tour, but I did catch the We Can't Dance Tour.

This is an album filled with hits and the longs are awesome. Give it another listen if you have it. You will enjoy it again.

Format - Vinyl - CD - Cassette

Madonna - Madonna

I still remember the first time I heard this album. We were at the next door neighbor's house and they had the vinyl laying around. My sister and I fell in love with it. The rest is history.

I always loved Boderline, but Burning Up and Physical Attraction as my favorite tracks. I am kind of done with Lucky Star.

Format: Vinyl - CD - Cassette

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique

Here is where I really need to jam out and write some MEGA CODE today. I freaking love the Beastie's and for good reason.

Hey Ladies is one of my favorite tunes by the boys, but other jams are Shake Your Rump, and Car Thief.

Format: Vinyl - CD

Pretty Woman - Soundtrack

I was never really a big fan of the movie. I probably only seen it twice. The Soundtrack is another thing. Obviously the track is Go West's - King Of Wishful Thinking and Roxette's It Must Have Been Love. There are great tunes by Peter Cetera, Nataile Cole and Jane Child.

Format: Vinyl - CD

Times Two - X2

Who buys an album from a One Hit Wonder? This guy right here!

In 1988 Time Two release Strange But True, it peaked at #21. The album actually had some possible hits, like a remake of Simon and Garfunklel's - Cecilia. That only hit #79, but I love the tune Mr. DJ.

Format - Vinyl

Huey Lewis & The News - Collected

My favorite band in the 80's had to be Huey Lewis & The News. Every song was a hit to me. You can find all the hits here, along with the 90's tunes that did not do so well. It Hit Me Like A Hammer and A Couple Days Off are under rated tunes in my mind. The last track on the album is from Exodisco which was performed by American Express. Give it a listen, you won't be disappointed.
