Chicago - Look Away

The week of break-up songs continues today with this classic from 1989. Chicago hit the big time with Look Away in 1989. Music was changing in 1989 and Chicago 19 was Chicago's last big popular album, and boy was it a big one. Chicago 19 produced 5 Hot 100 hits and Look Away ended the year as the most popular song in 1989. When you have the great Diane Warren writing a masterpiece and the awesome lead vocals of Bill Champlin, you get Chicago's biggest Top 40 hit and the only #1 hit after Peter Cetera left in 1985.

The song reminds me often of my Senior year in High School and those young love moments, and yes I had way too many.

Have a great Tuesday.
